After a long hot summer in Europe, I find myself at the beginning of a new adventure in another part of the world. Koh Rong Samloem is the name of the little tropical island in Cambodia that will be my home for the coming autumn and winter. At the remote end of Saracen Bay, Samloem Laguna Resort has been developing into a paradise hideaway in the last 3 years. Half-hidden by the jungle, comfortable little villa’s have been created from sustainable materials. From the hanging chairs on the verandas, guests can dream away watching over the turquoise waters while listening to fresh water streams flowing down the hills. There’s a private beach with sun chairs and a little bar. There are stand-up paddle boards and snorkel gear available. There is even a tennis court and a beach volleyball spot. On the yoga terrace the sun will be guiding the evening meditations as it sets over the bay. Samloem Laguna is the best location that I can think of to offer my yoga retreat programs. And I am very happy to have the opportunity to do just that.
